2008 Syrah

Syrah vines planted in the we--drained sandy soil of a gentle, south-facing slope (the H'ville Syrah block) have produced several vintages of quality fruit leading to a series of successful wines. Following a warm, controlled fermentation, this wine spent 14 months in premium oak barrels before bottling. Tastine notes: dark burgundy color, raspberry, blackberry soda & dark chocolate aromas; flavors of raspberry tart, mocha, toasted oak, grill smoke & spicy notes of white pepper & cardamom: well-structured finish echoes the flavors & lingers long on the finish. 13.5% alc/vol
