Painted Horse Cuve`e

Fruit forward, black cherry flavored Merlot (2/3) from the 2008 vintage was blended with amazingly rich, dark Chambourcin (1/3) from 2009 to make this delicious non-vintage blend. Chambourcin was sourced from the Painted Horse Vineyard on the lower H'ville Slope while fruit from all three Heritage Vineyard Merlot blocks were used. Dark berry & toasty oak aromas rise from the swirled glass. Raspberry and cherry fruit flavors are supported by hints of dark chocolate, suede leather & freshly-baked croissant. The medium-bodied, gently tannic finish shows notes of cedar and sromatic herbs, lingering long on the palate. Enjoy with grilled meats & poultry, rich cheeses, pasta & pizza.
